[Today Jax is thankful for: "my family]"
Today I am thankful for my forever friends.
I have a number of wonderful people who have come into my life at various times & through different circumstances & we formed a friendship that has proven to be steadfast, strong, & has been able to withstand the test of time.
I realize that description sounds vague, but the Lord has certainly blessed me with MANY of these friends who I don't see on a regular basis. These friends include my best friend, college roommates, college friends, ministry friends, friends from the two churches we served at in the past, & many more!
These friendships are characterized by:
-Whenever I see them we can pick up right where we left off. It's like we never missed a beat.
-There is equal effort made to have the relationship by both of us. (Calls & visits coming from both directions.)
-They are someone I can trust with the most important or confident information.
-Spiritual maturity as well as a desire to grow. Not complacent.
-Our friendship is based upon a mutual love for God.
-Our friendship encourages me to be more like Christ.
Thank You Lord for blessing me with the most wonderful friends!
