Handsome Haircut (John's 1st Haircut)

There was a time (a loooong time) when we thought this day may never come. John was a baldy for quite some time. (& I thought it was precious!)

We have bald babies (& we cannot lie ;)), but Jax's hair started coming in much earlier than John's. By Jax's first birthday, he was way past due for a first haircut.

Well, at right over 2 years, John was eligible for his first! It wasn't completely necessary, but his hair was starting to grow over his ears. I think he's so handsome with his new 'do.

Mrs. Tessa talking to John.

He was quite excited about the chair "ride."

& then he got to wear a cape. He's a pro at that.

This fun cape had cute penguins on it! (Can I just say how Tessa was so sweet with him?!)

He did great!!

Lots of pictures of his cuteness!! I think he looks a little older! :( But so handsome.
It's amazing what a couple of snips can do!

First Day of School! First Day of School!

Today was our most exciting first day of school!

The boys are going to a preschool at a church not too far from our house. When we went to check it out, the boys loved it. It's very much like the MDO Jax used to go to & a few ladies from church teach there. We knew it was what God had for the Dunn boys!

They held their open house while we were at Lake Tiak O'Khata, so I took the boys up there the week before to meet their teachers & see their classrooms.

We made these alphabet vases of flowers to take to the teachers. (I forgot to take a picture, so I'm recycling an old picture from when we made them last time.)

The boys were pretty excited to give them to their teachers.

Mrs. Wanda is Jax's teacher & she goes to our church. She taught Kindergarten for many years & is as sweet as can be!

Mrs. Connie is John's teacher. We just met her that day, but John decided he liked her.
He's a great judge of character. :)

Mrs. Wanda gave the boys some fun activities to do while she & I talked about the school year. They made some beautiful fish!

We were set to get ready for their first day of school!

They had their special school bags.

Their lunches packed. (I've missed getting to do this!!)

We took our teachers an apple for their first day gift.

These are their sweet back to school pics before they found out that I was taking them to school. They were mad that they weren't riding the school bus. Haha! I don't know where they got the idea that they would ride a bus. Crazy boys...

Ready to go!

I made them a special treat tonight after dinner. School bus cookies!

So proud of my little men!

Our Latest Shenanigans!

Here are some of our latest adventures!

Playing on the iPad under the covers.

Painting Pottery at Main St. Books. What a cute bookshop!! It reminded me of that book shop that Meg Ryan owned in the movie- You've Got Mail. It even had a big fat cat that lazily napped on different spaces in the shop.

The plates before they were fired.

The beautiful masterpieces! Baby Dunn #3 needs one!

We've been coloring new fun coloring book.

Some of the Women's Ministry Leadership Team took a short retreat to pray & plan for our Women's Retreat coming up in the Fall. We took few pictures (& none that were post-able) other than this. We used a roll of toilet paper as our kleenex. (A group of women talking about God...we needed kleenex.) This was all that was left after some hours together. (As we were packing up to leave the house we stayed in, I found a box of kleenex. Ha!)

A Sunday morning pic b/c we matched Aunt Lori.

Dancing in parking lots after dinner.

Shopping at the outlets in Jackson.

Mammaw gave each boy a little money, so they went shopping at the toy store.
Jax bought a sword. Shocker.

Yummy lunch in Flowood.

Halle's super fun Tom & Jerry birthday party.

Bubbles were lots of fun!

So was the slide.

Excited kiddos.

Happy Birthday to youuuuu!!

What a cute cake!!! We love that Halle loves Tom & Jerry b/c we do too!!

The cutest edible mice!! Jax was a fan.

John dressed for the occasion. :)

Halle opening our present. A Tom & Jerry DVD.

& a Minnie Mouse costume.

Halle got a roller coaster from her parents. We really liked it!

We liked it a lot.
