[Today Jax is thankful for: Momma]
Today I'm thankful for the past two churches that we have served in during our ministry.
First, I'm thankful for Colfax Baptist Church. I'm thankful for the great many things we learned about ministry & service while there. I'm thankful for the foundation of experience we received. I'm thankful for the women's Sunday School class I was a member of while there. I'm thankful for all the people who invested in our ministry & took part in "raising us," caring for us, & supporting us throughout college & our first year of marriage. I'm so thankful for those who have kept up with us since those days. (Thank goodness for Facebook!) We love them dearly & think of them often.
Second, I'm thankful for our precious FBC Vivian church family. I'm thankful that we felt like family from day one. I'm thankful for the many many ministry lessons we learned while there. I'm thankful for being able to witness great revival & the move of the mighty hand of God while there. I'm thankful for my prayer partners (who continue to pray for all my prayer needs). I'm thankful for my "young couple" Sunday School class & that I was able to go to SS with D the past year. I'm thankful for all the nursery ladies, SS teachers, & MDO teachers who invested so much into my babies & loved them like their own. I'm thankful for all the incredible youth & kids D & I got to invest in while there-some who are now adults who are serving the Lord in various capacities & ways that make us so proud & excited for the Kingdom of God. I'm thankful for my accountability partners. I'm thankful for all the awesome friends/family that we got to do life with. I'm thankful for the way they served & blessed US all the time while there. I'm thankful for the unrestrained, unconditional, beautiful way they loved us. (& continue to love us!)
Thank You Father for always placing us in such loving church families. Thank You for always blessing us & growing our faith family. Thank You that even though we don't get to see these people everyday, we get to spend eternity with them!
