Thankful Day 12- Stay at Home Mom

[Today Jax is thankful for: "my new house"]

Today I'm thankful that I am able to stay at home with my boys & care for my family.

For the last two years that I was working, I really felt the Lord speaking to me about staying home with my babies. I LOVED being invested in my family's business, but also felt that I struggled to do my best to manage my house while working full-time & commuting 2 hours a day. The hardest part was the idea of quitting my family business. That was just one of the many parts of the Lord's plan for our move.

I absolutely love being at home to play with & teach the boys. I love taking my time to make dinner & getting to eat as a family at a decent hour. We love when Daddy gets home to join in on the fun. [When D & I got married, he told me he wanted me to stay at home & wait at the door for him to get home & for that to be the highlight of my day. Ha! (He was kidding...I think.) While that's quite the exaggeration, we really do look forward to D getting home from work.]

I enjoy the little things in the day like going on adventures, taking advantage of all the great preschool programs like Playshop, & running errands without feeling rushed & like a crazy person.

Finally, I'm so thankful to have this opportunity because God has given me some ministry ideas to focus on & a calling that requires time-not just my leftovers at the end of the day. (More on this adventure at a later date.)

Here are some pics of fun things we've done lately:

John's lunch of choice while shopping. (Loves popcorn just like Daddy.)

Sometimes you gotta ride on a hay bale turkey! Thankful for friends with fun toys!

Playing at the park.

Playshop last week introduced us to the wonderful world of Pete the Cat!

Lots of fun learning lessons.

A few animals from Hattiesburg Zoo came & we learned about 3 different coverings:
-Fur
-Scales
-Feathers

Thank You God for calling me to stay at home with my favorite guys, paving the way, & providing for us so that it is possible!
