Jolly Old Saint Nick!

Ok! These are the last of the "catch up" pictures! This will finish out the adventures from 2010!

Here Jax is waiting in line to see Santa. He was SO EXCITED!
He kept saying, "Tanta, Tanta!"

& this is his awesome reaction when he finally gets to see Tanta! :)

Jax's stocking was stuffed!

The fun things that Santa left: camping gear, toddler bedding, toys, pajamas...

Jax enjoying Christmas dinner...he LOVED the veggie tray!

He got a drum set from Mimi & Mitz! Awesome! Now he's ready to join the Praise Band!

National Lampoon's Christmas New Orleans

My parents have a beautiful timeshare in New Orleans-smack, dab in the French Quarter-& our new family thing is to go spend a week or so down there during the holidays. NO is amazing at all times-always festive and full of events and exciting, but even more so at Christmas! It's decorated to the max with lights & fleur de lis & it just has such a rich, traditional, old city feel. We went to the zoo, the aquarium, we had lunch & a cruise on the Steamboat Natchez, we ate beignets and drank hot chocolate at Cafe Du Monde, we shopped... It was just a wonderful time. We made lots of memories. We love it there!

2 Generations of BFFs

Dustie & Dusty have been best friends...since Dusty's birth. 25 years later, it's so exciting that they both have little boys of their own! Here are a bunch of fun pics from Dusty's son, Hayden's, first birthday party-a Winter ONEderland!

Last night was our first Bunco night of the year! My friend Erin put together a crazy group of girls. I can't believe we didn't take pictures! (Probably b/c we were too busy trying to win one of the amazing prizes!) Each month it will be at a different member's house. They will cook the dinner & the person with the following month will make the dessert. Last night we had Tacos, Tostadas, fresh guacamole & lots of other Mexican food. The dessert was Sopapilla Cheesecake (Oh Lord!) The gifts were INCREDIBLE! The big Bunco gift was the most gorgeous Mardi Gras wreath that a little boutique in town makes. (I did not even get one Bunco, but I am convinced I need one of the wreaths!) What a super fun time we had! I got one of the 8 small gifts (which was really 2 gifts cuz Erin likes to give gifts lol) & I LOVE THEM! It's a Scentbug from Bath & Bodyworks-in Sweet Pea...and PINK! & also a little pair of animal print tweezers! LOVE! I'm already looking forward to next month!

Disney on Ice

[This blog post has made me realize...I need blogger tutoring! I had so many pics & wanted to lay them out so that they weren't too overwhelming, but this is the best I could do...whatever. I will get help later lol.]
One thing that the Elf brought during December was tickets to Disney on Ice! The theme was Princess Wishes. I was afraid it was going to be too girly for Jax (& D) but it didn't focus too much on the princesses, but instead-the movies the princesses are in. It was incredible! I am a huge fan of Disney & every Disney experience-this occasion did not disappoint!
We loved it so much that we have already been searching for more to attend this year. The closest ones are "Toy Story 3" in Dallas & "Let's Celebrate" in Lafayette. We haven't decided which we want to attend. We haven't decided that we won't attend both! haha (Maybe we can persuade our Houston cousins-Traci & Sadie to join us for Toy Story 3! :) hint...hint...)
Speaking of Disney-we're also in the process of planning our Disney vacation! Yay!!!
We love "A Mouse" (as Jax would say for Mickey Mouse)!
Jax was captivated from the moment we walked in. He LOVED it! (Maybe even as much as I did! HA!)
These pictures speak for themselves:
