Easter "Egg"citement! ;)

Today was a really good day.

We went to our church's Easter Egg Hunt this morning.

Jax & John are excited to play in the bubbles.

John was a BIG fan of bubbles. He & his friend Christian played here until it was time to hunt eggs.

We paraded around the neighborhood while the others hid the eggs.

The boys are ready & excited to hunt eggs!

We didn't stay the whole time because Mammaw went with us & we don't want to wear her out. I'll tell you who we DID wear out...

When we got home, the boys went on a walk & played on their playground. They used up a lot of energy!

After a short rest, we dyed some eggs & made them into jungle animals.

Then D & I went to get some more allergy medicine :/ These Louisiana people are having a rough Spring in Mississippi.

While we were out, Mom made these Peeps cars with the boys.
I think they're pretty proud.

Too cute.

My parents also brought them baskets of goodies. They're rotten, I tell ya.

Tonight, we changed up our Bible Story time & made resurrection rolls.

Just making them tells the story about what Christ did. We've already talked about how Jesus died on the cross for us. This activity tells the next part.

The triangle dough represents the tomb.
The marshmallow represents Christ.
Dipping the marshmallow in melted butter & cinnamon & sugar represent how they put oil & spices on Jesus' body.
Then, you roll up the marshmallow into the crescent dough. This represents them putting Jesus' body in the tomb & sealing it.

Tomorrow we will bake them & have them for breakfast & they will reveal the greatest part of the story!

Y'all, I can't wait for tomorrow!!

We made resurrectin rolls last year in my Sunday school class and this year it grew to the whole upstairs children's department! Looking forward to it today!

    Happy Easter! He is risen!
