Baseball Season!

We recently finished up baseball (T-ball) season. We had the best time & are really sad it's over.

This year was Jax's first year to play. Our plan is to let Jax try out the different sports or activities that he would like to try (only one at a time) & decide what he enjoys most. Our goal is life experience & lots of teaching moments, without getting too busy or letting our kids' schedule dictate our lives.

He played on a 4/5 year old team that was coached by some of our church friends.

"Aunt" Lori went to watch Jax play & took my very favorite picture of the season. (above)
In the very beginning of the season, Jeb had just been born, so we weren't able to go to practices or games. It started off as a "Daddy & Jax" thing.

John really missed his brother for that whole hour he would be gone!
This was John's reaction to his brother coming home after a practice. (love my boys!)

Soon after the season start, Jeb was able to go & it became a fun family thing.

I captured a couple of pics each game. (I know...totally out of character!)

John really loved going to the games! One game he snuck into the box for a little bit.

He played a little ball of his own.

We wore blue to support our team. (Plus, our family has a LOT of blue!)

We had a bunch of friends on the same team & enjoyed watching the game with them!

Watching Jax about to hit.

Playing with one of our favorite friends, Adleigh!

Sweet Littles.

Before Brother's last game.

"Go Jax!!!" Jeb learned to cheer Jax on.

I have no idea where he learned that. ;) Proud Mom!

Each game we took turns bringing yummy snacks & I got another way to "mother."

This is Jax the night he got the game ball.

We were all super excited! He was pretty good & some games would get multiple "outs."

We were so thankful for our great coaches. They sacrificed a lot of time & were just really really good with all the kids. We got them some baseball cupcakes & a little gift card so they could go out for dinner.

We had a fun night for them after the season & they all got medals.

Yay for a great first experience with baseball!!

Below are a couple of short videos from the season.

The first is Jax making a hit

& the second is Jax running into Home & giving his coach a "five."
